Tree Planter Progress…

21 Jun

Here’s our tree planter now with a raised rock border.  Now we just need those plants to grow!

Also –

We are now proud parents to a hilariously, bright blue door.

(Note: Please squint when looking at that gold door knob, and pretend it’s silver!)

It looks great- everything matches so well– the flower pot, door, mailbox… you’ve really got it together! :)

I love the blue door! I’ve been thinking about doing this to our house for three years now…I’m hoping we can get to it this Summer! What color/brand did you use?

It’s Columbia High Performance coatings (Acry-shield enamel gloss) in Canal Blue. I actually bought it to paint a kitchen back splash, but it was way too bright so I painted over it. It’s not an exterior grade paint, so it’s really a temporary thing until we decide what color we will paint the house and trim and then pick a different color that coordinates. I do really like the bright pop of color it adds to our life though, and I highly recommend a punchy front door! If you hate it, it’s a pretty quick paint job and only costs about $10. Hope it helps!

Thanks so much! Our house color is a light slate grey, so I think a blue like this would look really great!

Yes, that would look great!! In fact, we’re planning on painting our house a light grey too! :)
