i think my mother-in-law has been patiently waiting for me to make this pillow from some tea towels she bought me to go with these pictures in my family room. it took me some time to figure out how to create a pillow as large as i wanted, and NOT have it look like it was shouting, “hi! i used to be two tea towels, but the lady of the house thought i was pretty enough to be a pillow, so here i am!”

feb. 3rd marks clothed in scarlet’s 1 year anniversary. wowza, it’s flown by! it’s funny how the seasons of the year seem to change the seasons of our lives, and for me, that means what hobby i’m in the mood to pursue. summers are for new babies (or being massively pregnant with one), something about the fall makes me need to knit, and apparently the new year makes me want to quilt and bake bread. my first post here was on breadmaking and a WIP quilt for jed. here’s an anniversary post of the same kind. i finally finished jed’s quilt, which turned out almost exactly the way i had envisioned, except the size was a little smaller than i would have liked. it covers a crib mattress perfectly though.
…and i happened to whip up some bread the other day as well. it was fantastic! i think i may be getting the hang of it! woo-hoo.
